Computer scientist, lecturer and researcher

I am a full-time associate professor in the Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). My teaching focuses on theoretical computer science and software development.
Moreover, I am the programme director of the Bachelor’s degree in Techniques for Software Development at UOC.
Regarding my research, I lead the Systems, Software and Models Lab (SOM) at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3-UOC). My research interests include:

I hold a BSc in Computer Science (2000, top of the class) and PhD in Computer Science (2005), both from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-Barcelona Tech).
Between 2000 and 2002, I worked as a researcher at UPC in a project funded by Cadence Design Systems. In 2011, I worked in a 3-month research internship at Cadence Berkeley Labs (Berkeley, California). Between 2002 and 2005, I continued my research with a predoctoral FPU grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science.
In 2005 I joined Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Since then, I have also collaborated as a part-time associate professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-BarcelonaTech) (2006) and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) (2006-2011).
